After many days of relentless coding day and night, after countless nights longing for the sun and wind of the sea, on August 11, 2018, the Hanoi and Da Nang Runners quenched their “sea thirst” with a summer trip to two beautiful central beaches, Cua Lo and Quy Nhon.
With explosive minds, lively personalities, and unwavering enthusiasm, together with the motto “Summer must be HIGH,” the Runners “set summer on fire” with countless exciting surprises! The journey to Cua Lo for the Hanoi Runners began at 5:30 AM on August 11, 2018. Although they had to wake up early to travel a long distance, no fatigue appeared on any Runner’s face; instead, they were full of excitement for a 4-day, 3-night adventure (August 11–14, 2018), leaving behind the “daily nightmare” of bugs and tasks.
Arriving at the sunny and windy beaches of Central Vietnam, everyone was captivated not only by the natural beauty of long white sandy beaches and clear blue waters but also had the opportunity to visit Uncle Ho’s homeland, including Hoang Tru village (maternal), Kim Lien village (paternal), his childhood home, and the Ong Hoang Muoi Temple. In addition, families were excited to explore countless wildlife species at Muong Thanh Safari Zoo (Dien Chau) and enjoy the 4-star standard services at Muong Thanh Grand Cua Lo Hotel.
The highlight of this year’s trip was the epic football match between the company’s male and female teams, played right on the Cua Lo beach. Under the blazing August sun, the 14 players on the field gave the audience an emotionally charged match. The male players and spectators were astonished by the brave dribbling, sliding, and ball tricks of the girls, who are usually delicate and gentle.
With the major disadvantage that all male players had to tie a rope between their legs to reduce risk, the men’s team respectfully lost to the girls with a close score of 1-2. This “unprecedented” match created a joyful atmosphere full of fun and camaraderie among members of the company.
The Da Nang Runners experienced three unforgettable days at Quy Nhon Beach – nicknamed “Vietnam’s Maldives” for its pristine beauty, turquoise water, and golden sands. After enjoying the clear water and tranquility on the first day, the more adventurous Runners explored Ky Co Island, Eo Gio - areas that have retained their natural charm, and visited the Twin Towers, a pair of beautiful ancient towers built in the Angkor-style architecture of the 12th century. Each site left a unique impression, helping everyone appreciate the local culture and people.
Besides relaxing with family and colleagues, enjoying fresh seafood, playing, and swimming, the Da Nang Runners participated in an explosive Gala Dinner featuring elaborate performances full of surprises: extreme dances and powerful singing from promising artists made the audience feel like the venue “exploded” with energy.
The summer trip ended, and the Runners returned to work, but its memories will likely linger for weeks. Surely, the joy and experiences from this trip will continue to grow year by year as the Runners stay connected and work together under the roof of GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM.
