According to ICT News, at the beginning of 2022, IT companies in Japan reported a shortage of up to 450,000 personnel, 1.5 times higher than in Vietnam. Facing the challenge of a shortage of high-quality IT resources, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM and ONODERA USER RUN decided to launch an IT human resource training project, officially opening a solution to supply high-quality personnel for both markets.
ONODERA USER RUN owns a Japanese language center in Hanoi and is currently teaching Japanese to around 800 domestic learners while expanding IT talent introduction services for Japanese enterprises. As part of the collaboration, the two sides will organize specialized training programs in information technology and foreign languages through online formats, equipping learners with the best preparation for career development in Japan.

With technological strengths built over more than 17 years of development, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM has designed a completely unique training program with 9 learning categories from basic to advanced, including: Infrastructure, Software Testing, Auto Test, AI, programming languages such as PHP, Flutter, Java, VueJS, and Business Analyst. The content is designed to provide practical working skills through hands-on exercises. At the same time, learners will have internship opportunities at enterprises to accumulate work experience and participate in real projects under the guidance of experienced mentors. ONODERA USER RUN has also developed a specialized Japanese language training program to equip learners with skills equivalent to JLPT N3 (NAT-TEST 3) and Japanese conversation ability equivalent to JSST Level 7.
Learners who have not yet reached the required level will attend additional language support classes outside regular hours to ensure their working capability. After completing the program, ONODERA USER RUN will introduce suitable Japanese companies to learners, assist with documentation procedures for working in Japan, and provide support for living in Japan. This IT training and recruitment program jointly organized by the two parties will last for one year and is completely FREE. The student support team is always ready to listen and provide 24/7 assistance to ensure progress according to the training roadmap.

Representatives of GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM and ONODERA USER RUN at the signing ceremony
Mr. Kazuhiro Ueo from the Vietnam Sales Department, Executive Supervisor of Overseas Business Group No.2 at ONODERA USER RUN, shared about the IT human resource development project: "The Japanese IT market will continue to expand, and the demand for IT personnel will also increase. The number of IT professionals in Japan is predicted to decline, and the shortage could reach as high as 790,000 people by 2030. In Japan, the working-age population is decreasing due to an aging society, making the recruitment of foreign human resources essential for the growth of the Japanese market. In particular, Vietnam is one of the leading IT powerhouses in Southeast Asia, and the relationship between the two countries has been cultivated for many years. In 2023, the two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. At this important milestone, we believe that the project with GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM – one of the top 10 IT companies in Vietnam – will play an important role as a bridge between Japan and Vietnam.’’

ONODERA representative sharing about the IT workforce shortage in Japan
Mr. Nguyen Tan Minh – Deputy General Director of GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM said: "Japan is facing a serious shortage of digital human resources to fully utilize related technologies and support more effective and innovative business operations. Therefore, countries like Japan are always opening their doors to people with strong professional skills and foreign language abilities. We believe that the IT training program combined with language training, with a structured and practical roadmap, will become a strong source of IT professionals that meet the strict quality standards required in both Japan and Vietnam."

Mr. Nguyen Tan Minh believes the training program will provide abundant IT human resources for both Vietnam and Japan.
As an organization that always focuses on supporting IT human resource training, together with trust in the direction and mission of ONODERA USER RUN, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM expects this collaboration to bring significant development for both parties. The Vietnam – Japan joint training program not only addresses the challenge of high-quality human resources for both countries but also opens up great learning and career development opportunities for young people passionate about the IT industry.
