To survive in a highly competitive business environment, implementing Digital Transformation has become an urgent issue for enterprises. The panel discussion focused on the reality of cooperation in projects involving new technology trends such as AI, VR, IoT, Big Data, etc. With the moderation of Mr. Nguyen Tan Minh, the speakers enthusiastically discussed and shared experiences, challenges, as well as solutions to strongly promote cooperation in this new technology field.

Currently in Japan, the IT workforce related to new technologies is considered to be lacking both in quality and quantity. In addition, the number of projects related to new technologies being outsourced to Vietnamese offshore enterprises has been increasing rapidly in recent years. Given this situation, enterprises need to adjust their research directions and train new human resources with stronger skills in new technology areas to meet the trends and demands of the era.

“These new trends are challenges but also great opportunities for Vietnamese offshore enterprises if they want to further penetrate the Japanese IT market,” affirmed Mr. Nguyen Tan Minh. At the end of the panel, the speakers also suggested solutions for adapting to better meet market requirements.

Organized since 2007, Japan ICT Day is the most important annual business promotion activity between Vietnamese and Japanese IT enterprises, jointly organized by VINASA and VJC. The program is supported by the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, and coordinated by many Japanese organizations: Consulate General of Japan, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan Information Service Association (JISA), Japan Embedded Systems Association (JASA), Kansai Electronics and Information System Association (KEIS), Japan System Integration Partners Association (JASIPA), and Computer Software Association of Japan (CSAJ).
