GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM's SmartOCR Featured on VTV1's "Digital Nation" Program
On April 9, 2022, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM and its document digitization solution, SmartOCR, were honored to be featured on "Digital Nation," a program by Vietnam's national television station, VTV1.
SmartOCR is a document digitization solution developed and researched by GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM based on artificial intelligence (AI). SmartOCR boasts superior capabilities in recognizing and extracting Vietnamese handwriting. Today, data recognition and extraction are essential for most organizations and businesses when digitizing their data processing workflows. While other OCR solutions on the market often limit data recognition and extraction primarily to common document types like identity papers (ID cards, passports), SmartOCR, with its integrated Extractor feature, allows users to expand recognition and extraction to all types of papers, documents, and texts generated within a business's operations. Even for highly specialized documents, users can fully "tailor" the recognition and extraction model for those specific document types.
SmartOCR's Extractor Feature
During the program, Mr. Nguyen Tan Minh, Deputy General Director of GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM, shared: "Today, every business often has its own unique document templates. With the motto 'Internet for everyone, digitalization anytime, anywhere,' GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM has developed a new feature: the Extractor for document data extraction. The Extractor tool is designed for non-IT users—those without deep technological expertise—enabling businesses to proactively define and extract data from all their unique document types."
SmartOCR's Impact on Vietnamese Enterprises
In Vietnam, SmartOCR has been successfully implemented for many large enterprise clients across various sectors, including Finance-Banking, state organizations, and retail. A prominent example is the Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC). After one year of deploying SmartOCR, VIMC has digitized and streamlined nearly 45% of the corporation's paper documents from the past 20 years. As a result, VIMC members can now quickly and efficiently search for and share information anywhere, at any time.
