GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM honored to receive the award for the fastest growth in new domain name registrations

At the annual summary conference of the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) held on December 20, 2017, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM was honored to receive the award for the registrar with the fastest growth in new domain name registrations. GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM was also recognized as one of the top 3 outstanding enterprises and was honored by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai at the ceremony.

Attending this year’s conference were Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai, Director of the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center Tran Minh Tan, along with representatives from units under the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), regulatory agencies, and enterprises.

The ceremony included report presentations, feedback on VNNIC’s 2018 development program from representatives of MIC, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, and other units. Mr. Ngo Van Tau – Director of GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM – shared his heartfelt thoughts on existing issues and expressed hopes for solutions in 2018:

“We hope that VNNIC will make further improvements regarding .VN domains and international domains. Although there are already regulations for customers registering international domains and .VN domains, currently only .VN domains require customers to provide complete registration information. For international domains, many still assume it’s unnecessary, which has forced us to send many reminders. In the near future, we hope that VNNIC as well as the MIC will introduce measures to communicate to Vietnamese Internet users that registering international domains also requires full and transparent information, just like .VN domains.”

Agreeing with GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM’s perspective on the transparency of international domains, Deputy Minister Pham Hong Hai emphasized in his speech the importance of strengthening information security and safety, stressing the need for measures to ensure transparency when issuing domains, especially international ones. At the same time, it is necessary to regularly review and verify the accuracy of the information and data of registrants using Internet resources in Vietnam.

In 2017, VNNIC recognized organizations that made significant contributions to the overall development of Vietnam’s Internet industry. Thanks to the outstanding contributions of the Tenten brand, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM was honored to receive the award for the registrar with the fastest growth in new domain registrations in 2017.
