On August 13, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM collaborated with VietnamPlus e-newspaper to donate computer sets to the charity program "Back-to-School Support for Highland Students," held in Bao Lac border district, Cao Bang province. Bao Lac is one of the most disadvantaged border districts in the country, with mountainous terrain, poor transportation, and a high proportion of ethnic minority and low-income households, making it very difficult for children to attend school. According to the Bao Lac District Department of Education and Training, the lack of new textbooks, equipment, facilities, and learning tools makes it hard for schools to support and motivate students to attend school. Understanding these challenges, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM partnered with VietnamPlus in the charity program to deliver meaningful gifts that encourage the students to continue their education. On August 9, Ms. Phan Thi Thu Ngan – Head of Public Relations Department at GMO – personally handed over carefully packaged computer sets to Ms. Chu Thi Hong Kieu – Secretary of the Youth Union of VietnamPlus – at the newspaper's headquarters to support teachers and students in Bao Lac at the start of the new school year. Sharing about this charity program, Ms. Phan Thi Thu Ngan, representing GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM, said: "Children are the future of the nation, so GMO always prioritizes educational support programs and nurturing talent. During the prolonged COVID-19 lockdown, our company also donated learning devices to disadvantaged students in Hanoi. More recently, we contributed to a fund supporting children at risk of abuse in Hai Phong. By joining this back-to-school program in Bao Lac, we hope that the computer sets donated by GMO will act as a bridge connecting students to technology, opening new doors to fascinating global knowledge and helping them build a better future." We hope that the gifts from the "Back-to-School Support for Highland Students" program will ease the difficulties faced by Bao Lac's teachers and students on their journey to gain knowledge, enabling them to achieve more success in the new school year and contribute positively to society.
