GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM visits to explore and invest in IT in Thua Thien Hue

On the morning of February 8, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM visited, explored, and invested in the IT sector in Thua Thien Hue in collaboration with the Thua Thien Hue Center for Information Technology (HueCIT). Participating in the working session on behalf of GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM were Mr. Ngo Van Tau – CEO; Mr. Nguyen Tan Minh – Deputy CEO, CTO, and Director of the Tokyo Branch; and Mr. Le Huu Hoang Quan – GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM representative in Hue. On behalf of HueCIT were Mr. Le Vinh Chien – Deputy Director; Mr. Vo Huy Hieu – Head of the Digital Transformation Department and Director of Hue Software Park; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy – Head of the Consulting, Design and Production Department; Ms. Dang Thi Nhung – representative of the Training and Development Department, along with other representatives from relevant professional departments.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed and shared information about the IT landscape in Thua Thien Hue province (human resources, number of IT students, Japanese-speaking workforce in Hue, office rental costs, relevant support policies...) as well as the capabilities and potential cooperation between HueCIT and GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM. GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM, formerly known as RUNSYSTEM, operates in software development, providing IT solutions and services in both Vietnam and Japan. Founded in 2005 with just 3 employees, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM has now grown to over 900 employees with branches in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. With plans to open a 4th branch in Hue, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM hopes to cooperate further with HueCIT, especially in connecting, training, gradually recruiting, and opening the Hue branch as soon as possible – shared and proposed by Mr. Ngo Van Tau, CEO, at the meeting. In response to GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM’s development plans in Thua Thien Hue, Mr. Le Vinh Chien – Deputy Director of HueCIT – stated: As the focal point representing the province in supporting businesses and investors in the IT field, HueCIT is always ready to assist enterprises in promoting and accelerating their investment process in Hue. Currently, with over 22 years of establishment and development, HueCIT owns modern infrastructure, facilities, and learning equipment; a high-quality, experienced workforce; and is the only unit in the region to implement licensed training programs such as the Aptech International Programmer and ARENA Multimedia Design courses from India’s Aptech Group... This will be a solid foundation to cooperate and support GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM in its development in Hue.

The two parties exchanged on development needs and directions for the near future

In the near future, along with the development of HueCIT’s office area of 1.1 hectares at Zone E – An Van Duong and the province’s centralized IT park of 39.6 hectares at Zone B – An Van Duong with many investment incentives, IT enterprises investing in Hue will have various opportunities for selection and development depending on their scale and orientation – emphasized Mr. Le Vinh Chien. Also at the meeting, the two sides discussed GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM’s products and the prospects of cooperation between GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM and local enterprises, universities, and IT associations through connections facilitated by HueCIT.
