On September 21, 2021, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM, in collaboration with the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC), donated smartphones and 4G SIM cards to underprivileged students at Dich Vong Secondary School, Cau Giay District, Hanoi. This initiative responds to the program “Waves and Computers for Students” launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, aiming to ensure better learning conditions for students during extended periods of social distancing.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, over 1.5 million students currently lack devices for online learning. This not only creates challenges for education in many provinces and cities during the COVID-19 pandemic but also limits children’s access to knowledge and information in the digital space. In response to the “Waves and Computers for Students” campaign and with a commitment to ensuring that “no one is left behind,” GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM joined hands with VNNIC, national domain registrars, and internet companies to support disadvantaged students with online learning equipment.

In addition to providing devices, volunteers guided students and their parents on how to use them and introduced helpful tools to support their studies. Expanding connectivity to more provinces As planned, VNNIC and its partners, including GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM, will continue to donate smart devices to underprivileged students in several primary and secondary schools in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City in the coming period. This meaningful and humanitarian program is implemented nationwide—from central to local authorities, down to educational institutions—and has received broad support from society. Through “Waves and Computers for Students,” GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM hopes to help the younger generation access a safe and enriching Internet environment and a vast world of knowledge—contributing to building a better life.
